Mick was selected in 2005 and 2009 to design the kitchen in the DreamHome showcase house in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart.
Mick has served as a judge for Sub-Zero’s biennial international design contest since 1998, and the Designers of Tomorrow competition, sponsored by Delta in partnership with the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Meredith Corporation in 2009.
In 2005, he was honored by Kitchen and Bath Business when they recognized him as one of the 50 most influential people in the kitchen and bath industry within the past 50 years.
He was voted a Kitchen and Bath Design Leader by Interior Design magazine in 2003.
In 2006, his design of a Chicago kitchen was awarded First Prize in Residential Kitchen Design by ASID.
In 2007, his design of an outdoor kitchen in Illinois was named one of the “10 Hottest Outdoor Kitchens in the Country” by HGTV.
